Pittsfield CityJazz Festival – October 8 – 21, 2010
The sixth annual Pittsfield CityJazz Festival is scheduled for October 8–21, 2010.
Throughout Columbus Day weekend, Oct. 8-10, musicians from the area will be appearing in local restaurants and lounges. Check back for schedule of performers and venues.
Headline weekend (Oct. 15-16) includes performances by vibraphone player Joe Baione and his quintet Friday, Oct. 15, plus an optional sit-down dinner with authentic New Orleans cuisine; and the American Jazz Repertory Orchestra, the Berkshires Jazz Youth Ensemble, and guest baritone saxophone virtuoso Claire Daly, Saturday, Oct. 16. NEW: on Wednesday, Oct. 13, there will be a special concert at the Berkshire Athenaeum, performer TBA; the festival concludes with the Third Thursday block party, featuring jazz performers TBA.
