On Sunday, October 13, alto saxophone lioness and vocalist Grace Kelly brings her 15-piece large ensemble conducted by Grammy and Tony Award winning Bryan Carter, augmented by Kids 4 Harmony advanced ensemble, to Shakespeare & Co. It is the only western New England performance of music from her new CD, “Grace Kelly with Strings: At the Movies.”

Inspired by the legendary concert and recording “Charlie Parker with Strings,” the repertoire reimagines themes from recent and classic movies into a cohesive opus for jazz quartet and orchestra.

Our presentation places the Kids 4 Harmony ensemble within Grace’s string section, resulting in r a larger ensemble with deep local roots.

The concert is the culmination of the Fall Jazz Sprawl, with several venues around Berkshire County planning their own jazz events to celebrate the music during the week of October 7–13. Don’t miss this last chance to see this remarkable program in the northeast this year.
